Can MB-System handle SM2000 data?

Posted December 24th, 2008 by dale

The MB-System http://www.ldeo.columbia.edu/MB-System data format number to select for SM2000 data files depends on the software used to log and/or process the data.

If the sonar is configured as an EM2000 and logged w/ Kongsberg's (Simrad's) software, the data files will have *.all suffixes and formats 56 and 57 are relevant.

If used as SM2000 with a Coastal Oceanographics datalogger, format 83 should work even though it's nominally for Reson SeaBat 8000 series.
